Tissue oxygenation
GR-ARA1 is aimed at chronic and genetic diseases characterized by hypoxia and anemia, such as inherited blood diseases - sickle cell anemia or thalassemia. 

Another application can also be found in the fields of surgery, notably liver and heart surgery, and transplantation to prevent ischemia or reperfusion side effects.

Tumor oxygenation
Two types of tumors particularly prone to tumor hypoxia will be targeted initially: cerebral tumors, such as glioblastoma, and ENT tumors. Other tumors treated by radiotherapy, like breast and prostate cancer, could also be concerned by this new approach.

GR-ARA1 has already completed the in vitro and in vivo proof of concept for tissue and tumor oxygenation.
