Founded in 2004, ERYtech Pharma is a biotechnology company specialized in the encapsulation of therapeutic molecules or enzymes into red blood cells.
The company is developing products focused on the treatment of serious types of cancer, such as solid or haematological tumours, for which existing treatments are particularly restrictive.
ERYtech Pharma significantly improves the therapeutic index of the encapsulated molecules or enzymes and thus, the patients’ quality of life.
Since its creation, ERYtech Pharma has received support from several national institutions.

- 2005 - Successful appicant for the National Research Agencies call for project tenders
- 2005 - Financing found: € 750.000
- 2006 - First Patient enrolled in the GRASPALL Phase II Clinical Trial
- 2006 - Drug Product classification for GRASPA® (L-asparaginase encapsulated in the red blood cells)
- 2006 - European Medicines Agency (EMEA) awards Orphan Drug classification for GRASPA®
- 2006 - Financing round €12 million
- July 2007 - GRASPALL Clinical Trial has been authorized by Belgium Regulatory Authorities
